By Breaking Belize News Staff: Skies will be generally fair today but an increase in showers is expected as a cold front approaches for Christmas weekend according to the National Meteorological Service.
The forecast is for sunny skies with cloudy spells today and cloudy skies tonight. Showers start out isolated with a few more developing in the south this morning, inland this afternoon and on the coast and offshore tonight with a chance of isolated thunderstorms.
High temperatures are 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 86 degrees inland and 75 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 74 degrees along the coast, 66 degrees inland and 64 degrees in the hills.
Winds are easterly to northeasterly at 10 to 20 knots with sea state slight.
Tides will be high at 10:37 this morning and 9:32 this evening and low at 3:19 this afternoon. The sun sets at 5:19 this evening and rises at 6:24 Saturday morning.
Expect cloudy skies and a few showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms over the coast in the morning and at night, spreading to most places by afternoon.
