By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City woman was fined in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court this week after punching another woman in the face.
Twenty-six-year-old Reeva Jones appeared unrepresented in court on Friday, answering to a single count of assault.
Jones immediately pleaded guilty to the offense and was fined $800 plus $5 cost of court.
Jones was charged with an incident on December 21, where she approached 24-year-old Joan Arana, questioning her about a rumor she heard about Arana wanting to fight.
Jones quickly escalated the altercation to violence but Arana was saved by a bystander who emerged from a vehicle to stop the assault.
