Belize Weather: A cool Christmas weekend

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The first major cold front of the season is currently dominating the weather pattern according to the National Meteorological Service on this Christmas Eve.

Skies today will be cloudy will some showers or light rain over most areas and a chance of isolated thunderstorms, increasing over the coast tonight.

High temperatures peak at 77 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 80 degrees in inland areas and 70 degrees in the hills. Tonight, they fall to 70 degrees along the coast, 66 degrees inland and 63 degrees in the hills.

Winds are northerly at 10 to 20 knots and sea state is choppy.

Tides will be high at 11:23 this morning and 10:25 this evening and low at 4:07 this afternoon. The sun sets at 5:24 this evening and rises at 6:19 Sunday morning.

Christmas dawns cloudy to overcast with some showers and light rain, and isolated thunderstorms mostly over the coast and offshore areas.
