By Aaron Humes: Forward for defending national champions Verdes FC of San Ignacio and the Jaguars, Krisean Kyle Lopez, 25, is off to play in the Salvadoran League on loan with Club Deportivo (CD) Platense.
On their social media page, Platense described Lopez, also known as “Bounty” as “fast and skillful.” He has scored three times for the national team and more than 20 goals for Verdes and Wagiya during a four-year career and has also won a couple of national club titles.
The team’s official statement admitted that Lopez’s departure will leave “a void on the pitch and in our family,” but it considers the loan part of efforts to develop players and give them international experience, and expects the youngster will come back “more rounded.”
As for the player himself, he took the opportunity to say thanks to players, staff and team owners and express good wishes for the team moving forward.
