Police constable involved in motorcycle accident needs blood donation

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The family of Police Constable Darien Skeen is asking for the public’s assistance with blood donations as Skeen prepares to undergo major surgery.

On December 13, Skeen was riding his motorcycle on the Philip Goldson highway when he collided at high speed with a delivery truck that was making a left turn. His motorcycle burst into flames on impact while Skeen said he managed to survive by throwing himself off at the last moment.

He sustained several injuries in the incident and was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for treatment.

His surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, December 28. Those wishing to assist can make a blood donation at the National Blood Transfusion Service which is in the compound adjacent to the KHMH, and advise that the blood is a replacement donation for Darien Skeen.
