61-year-old Emert Flowers shot and killed in Belize City while 77-year-old is injured

By Aaron Humes: Two men of advanced age were the apparent targets of a shooter late on Tuesday night in Belize City.

Around 9:55 pm Emert Flowers, 61, a tour guide of Racecourse Street, was speaking to a friend, 77-year-old Dusseldore Waight, a labourer of Ferrel Lane, in his yard when another man entered the yard and fired several shots at them.

Emert Flowers died of his injuries on the spot and Dusseldore Waight is currently hospitalized in stable condition.

Police investigations are underway.
