By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) presented a modular home to Patricia Bowen in the Freetown Division in Belize City.
“Ms. Patricia Bowen spent a beautiful Christmas in her new home in Freetown,” the MIDH said.
“She was one of the 29 Belizeans whose houses were completed to be handed over in December.”
MIDH Minister Julius Espat was joined at the handing over by Minister of Education and Freetown Area Representative Francis Fonseca.
Over the last week, the MIDH has been in the process of handing over starter homes in different towns and villages throughout the country, including the Freetown Division in Belize City.
“This project is a big deal for us at the MIDH,” the Ministry said.
“The homes are starter homes, but we commit to ensuring that what we hand over to Belizean families is a well-built, quality structure that they can be proud of, and feel secure in.”
