By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Four years after interim President, Juan Guaidó declared himself leader following the re-election of Nicolas Maduro, the opposition in Venezuela has voted to dissolve its parallel government and remove him, BBC reports.
Guaidó was recognized as the leader of Venezuela by many countries including the United States but failed to oust Maduro.
The Venezuelan National Assembly voted 72 to 29 to abolish his interim government.
Last month, the Venezuelan government and the opposition signed an agreement to find a way out of the country’s political crisis.
