Men stabbed in Belize City following early-morning altercation at Digi Park

By Benjamin Flowers: Two Belize City men were stabbed early this morning during the New Year festivities at Digi Park.

Police say that 23-year-old Brandon Young and 20-year-old Charles Reid were socializing at the park when a group of males started throwing pint bottles at them.

They ended up in a fight with the group during which Young was stabbed to the back of the neck and Reid was cut to the right eyelid and below the right eye.

Both men were treated at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and later released.

Police are investigating.
