By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City man charged for threatening to kill his neighbour has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison.
Thirty-four-year-old Jhovan Marino was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on a single count of using threatening words, to which he pleaded not guilty.
Mariano was granted bail in the sum of $500 plus one surety of the same; however, he was unable to meet bail and was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until he is able to do so.
Allegations are that on December 27, 2022, he and his neighbour got into an argument over some dogs and he uttered the words “Ah wah kill yuh,” causing her to fear for her life.
He is due back in court on February 27.
