By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belizean offensive midfielder/forward Krisean Lopez suited up with Number 2 on his jersey as a left midfielder for his new club Club Deportivo Platense on Tuesday at the Antonio Toledo Valle Stadium in Zacatecoluca in El Salvador.
Lopez played the first 30 minutes in the Platense 1-0 win 1-0 over Juventud Independiente. Lopez pushed a lot on the left flank connecting well with Mexican center forward Omar Rosas who scored the lone goal of the match in the 16th minute. Rosas, who joined the team along with Lopez last week, played for CD FAS last season in El Salvador.
One of the Platense sportscasters said Lopez is very quick, intelligent, and skillful. He said he was pleased with Lopez’s performance in his first 30 minutes with the Salvadoran club adding that Lopez has good communication with Mexican center forward Rosas and that he has a lot to give.
Platense are playing three more friendly matches before the Closing Championship kicks off on January 21. The next match will be against Aguila on Saturday at 3:00 pm at the Estadio Antonio Toledo Valle in Zacateloluca.
Lopez was transferred from Verdes on loan to Platense for the Closing Championship. Platense became interested in Lopez when they played against Verdes in the 2022 Concacaf League last year.
