Belmopan’s Club Atletico to compete in 2023 UNCAFA Club Champions Cup in Costa Rica

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belmopan Football Association Champions Club Atletico will compete in the 2023 American Continent Amateur Football Union (UNCAFA) Club Champions Cup to be held in Costa Rica in February.

“Today we are happy to announce that Club Atletico will be proudly representing the Belmopan Football Association and our beautiful country of Belize in the 2023 UNCAFA Word Champion Cup,” Club Atletico said in a Facebook post.

“The Club is now in preparation for this new Journey coming our way.”

The tournament runs from February 22-26 and will have the participation of amateur clubs from Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, Cuba, Honduras, Chile, Peru, and Belize.

Atletico will participate in this regional amateur championship after the Belmopan Football Association joined UNCAFA.
