Ladyville man charged with drug trafficking granted bail

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 22-year-old resident of Ladyville Village is out on bail following a charge of drug trafficking.

Kyron Vasquez appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, charged with one count of possession of controlled drugs with the intent to supply to another in relation to 2.1 grams of cocaine which police say they found in his possession.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was offered bail in the sum of $4,000 plus one surety of the same, which he managed to meet.

Vasquez is due back in court on March 10.

Police say that they found the drugs on him during a search at Frederick Alley, Belize City, on January 4.
