By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belizean offensive midfielder Krisean Lopez played a good first half in Platense’s 1-1 draw with Águila on Saturday afternoon at the Antonio Toledo Valle Stadium in Zacatecoluca in El Salvador.
Lopez again linked up well with Mexican center forward Omar Rosas for Los Gallos, as Platense are called. Both Lopez and Rosas played the first 45 minutes in today’s match, the second pre-season game Platense have played.
Today, he wore jersey number 21. On Tuesday, when Platense defeated Second Division club Juventud Independiente 1-0, Lopez used jersey number 2. He played 30 minutes then.
His teammate Ronald Padilla scored a header from a set play in the 45th minute, while Aguila tied the match in the 74’ off a free kick by Bryan Paz.
Platense’s next friendly match, prior to the Salvadoran 1st Division Professional Championship which kicks off on January 21, will be against Second Division club Nuevo FC at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, January 12. Their fourth pre-season game will be an international match against Achuapa, a Guatemalan 1st Division club, on Sunday, January 15 at 3:00 pm. All these games are being played at Platense’s home field at the Antonio Toledo Valle Stadium.
Lopez will play the 2022-2023 Closing Championship with Platense on loan from National Subchampions Verdes.
