By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Toledo Institute for Development and Environment (TIDE) informed today that Celia Mahung is retiring from her position as executive director on February 28, 2023.
TIDE extended gratitude to Mahung for her 15 years of leadership, commitment, and dedicated service.
Asad Magana will succeed Mahung as the new Executive Director.
Magana will shadow Mahung for a period of 2 months before taking over full leadership of the organization on March 1, 2023.
TIDE noted that Magana holds a Master’s Degree in International Development and Management from Lund University, Sweden, and has a wealth of experience in Belize and the region.
“TIDE welcomes Magana and looks forward to continued growth of the organization,” TIDE said.
