Delivery man wrongfully charged proves in court that he had a valid driver’s license

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A deliveryman employed with Chon Saan Restaurant who was charged for riding a motorcycle without a valid driver’s license was able to prove in court that he was wrongfully charged.

Thirty-year-old Felipe Novelo appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court charged with a single count of drove motor vehicle whilst not being the holder of a valid driver’s license. In court, Novelo explained that he had lost his driver’s license and had gotten a new one, but then later recovered the license that was initially lost.

He produced the valid license in court which prompted the prosecution to drop the charges against him.
