Drunken mechanic damages eight vehicles with a machete; Convicted of damage to property

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A mechanic was found guilty of eight counts of damage to property in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today.

Ladyville resident 23-year-old James Randolph Lord appeared unrepresented in court accused of damaging eight vehicles with a machete while in a drunken rage.

After considering the facts, the Magistrate found Lord guilty of all counts and fined him for each. Lord was fined a total of $2,840 and faces between two and three months in jail if he fails to make payment in respect to any of them. All of his fines must be paid by February 3.
