Ray Cattouse captures Weekend Warriors New Year’s C Category Race from Orange Walk to Belize City

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Ray Cattouse captured the 2023 Weekend Warriors New Year’s C Category Race in 1 hour, 48 minutes, and 22.57 seconds.

Cattouse worked his way past all his competitors in his category in the Weekend Warriors 2023 inaugural race that started at Mile 38 on the Philip Goldson Highway, rode to Belize City making a U-turn at the old Napa Roundabout, and finished in front of M&M Engineering.

Peter Jones had to be content with second place after being outrun by Cattouse. Rigel Mckoy finished third, Francois Avella took 4^th.

Two women riders were next. Gabrielle Gabourel finished 5^th and Kedesha Francis was 6^th.

John Jones rode in 7^th, Richard Gabourel 8^th, David Hyde 9^th, and Roger Bryant rounded off the Top Ten.

18 riders completed the race.

‘A’ Category rider Roque Matus won the overall race while Isaiah Williacey took the B Category.
