Belize Weather: Mainly fair today, increase in showers later

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts mainly fair conditions to prevail today with an increase in shower activity to start tonight. Skies will be sunny with a few cloudy spells today and isolated showers, then skies become cloudy at times tonight with activity along the coast and in the south.

High temperatures peak at 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 86 degrees inland and 74 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 74 degrees along the coast, 68 degrees inland and 64 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly to northeasterly at five to 15 knots and sea state is light chop to choppy.

Tides will be high at 1:46 this afternoon, then low at 7:42 this evening. The sun sets at 5:36 this evening and rises at 6:25 Friday morning.

Friday will be generally cloudy with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms over central and southern areas, gradually decreasing over most areas except the southern coast on Friday night.
