Belizean Krisean Lopez’s Platense win 3rd friendly pre-season match 3-2 over Nuevo FC in El Salvador

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belizean Krisean Lopez again had a good showing in Platense’ 3-2 win over Second Division side Nuevo FC on Thursday at the Antonio Toledo Valle Stadium in Zacatecoluca in El Salvador.

Though Lopez only played the first half as the coach is using all the players in the pre-season games, he assisted Mexican Omar Rosas for the first goal in the 11^th minute. Advancing on the left wing, Lopez crossed the ball into the penalty area where Rosas headed it in for the 1-0 lead.

Thursday’s match was the third friendly Platense has played before the Closing Championship kicks off on January 21. Prior to that Platense’s 1-1 drew with First Division club Águila on Saturday and defeated Second Division club Juventud Independiente 1-0.

They have one more friendly on Sunday against Guatemalan Premier League side Achuapa. The match is scheduled for 3:00 pm at the Antonio Toledo Valle Stadium in Zacatecoluca.

Lopez joined Platense on loan from Verdes and will play the 2022-2023 Closing Championship with the Salvadoran club.
