International News: Salvadoran mom allegedly kills 8-year-old daughter after she refused to eat

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On January 11, 2023, Salvadoran authorities detained Ester Pineda, 30, who is accused of murdering her 8-year-old daughter after she refused to eat, ABC Noticias reports.

Local reports indicate that after she killed her daughter, she tried to flee but was detained.

Law enforcement authorities in El Salvador say that Pineda reportedly served her daughter a plate of food and she refused to eat.

Pineda reportedly got angry and attacked the minor with a knife.

The minor had injuries to her face and head, local news reported.

Investigators say that the minor had “long-standing injuries as well as recent injuries”.
