By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Taiwan’s Digital Minister, Audrey Tang says that the country is ready to assist Ukraine to upgrade its digital infrastructure, Reuters report.
Taiwan can help Ukraine upgrade its digital infrastructure in fields such as remote learning as part of rebuilding efforts after the war.
“Taiwan has already provided humanitarian aid (to Ukraine) in terms of generators, equipment and so, but we are also thinking about the digital layer,” Tang said.
“We want to provide what has enabled the various people in Taiwan to be a transcultural learning community, despite very different backgrounds.”
At this time, there are not yet official talks with Ukraine’s government on digital cooperation.
Since February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine and claimed that Kyiv’s ties with the West threatened Russia’s security.
Ukraine calls it an unprovoked war to seize its territory.
