Belize City Council targeted in burglary

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating an armed burglary at the Lords Ridge Cemetery office of the Belize City Council overnight.

According to the security guard on duty, just before 6 a.m. this morning he was inside the security booth located on the compound when 2 dark skined men dressed in dark clothing with face masks entered, one of whom carried a firearm. He was then forced to the ground at gun point and relieved of his wallet containing his identification and cash. He was then placed on the floor inside the bathroom located in the booth whilst one of the men searched the compound.

The two men then escaped but not before removing a battery from the garbage truck and a battery from the dump truck each belonging to the Belize City Council.-
