BREAKING: Nine Chinese nationals face deportation after arriving in Belize illegally, claiming residency

By Aaron Humes: Police sources tell us they are preparing to take custody of nine Chinese nationals who landed in Belize illegally on Sunday.

The three men and six women were previously held by Ladyville Police but are presently being questioned by Immigration Department officials.

We understand they are claiming to be residents of Belize despite never having set foot here. If they have residency, how they got it will be the subject of the investigation by immigration officials.

We are reliably informed that the intent is to deport the group back to Mainland China, which has no diplomatic ties with Belize.
