By Breaking Benjamin Flowers: Police Corporal Elmer Nah, who is currently on remand on two counts of murder will be facing a third charge after the death of Vivian Ramnarace.
Head of Communications for the Office of the Commissioner of Police, ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, explained that Ramnarace, who had been shot on New Year’s Eve, 2022 in the incident for which Nah has been remanded, began having complications relating to those injuries on Sunday, January 15.
Yearwood said that Ramnarace sought treatment at the Western Regional Hospital (WRH), but collapsed on the way and was pronounced dead on arrival. Elmer Nah had initially been charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of use of deadly means of harm, and one count of dangerous harm upon Vivian Ramnarace.
“We know that Mr. Nah will be receiving an upgraded charge for murder,” Yearwood said. “I’m not certain when that charge will be levied, but since he is on remand for murder, he could be read that charge as early as when he appears in front of the court for his remand date.”
Nah was arraigned on January 3 for the murder of David Ramnarace and his brother John Ramnarace, who was also Vivian Ramnarace’s husband.
