By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Freetown Bombers blasted the Ladyville Wolves 4-0 to qualify in the top spot with 11 points to the Belize City Champions Cup semifinals now set for Friday.
Francis Andrews opened the score in the 2nd minute at the Marion Jones Sporting Complex on Monday, according to Kursha Pollard, Technical Director at the Belize District Football Association. Tyreek Muschamp made it 2-0 in the 37th minute. Francisco Briceño put the game away with a brace in the 80th and 82nd minutes.
The loss eliminated the Wolves. Though tied at six points with New Revolution, goal difference gave the fourth spot to New Revolution.
Both will meet again in the semifinals at 7:00 pm on Friday at the Marion Jones.
The Freetown Bombers play New Revolution in the second semifinal at 9:00 pm.
