By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, Anthony Mahler and representatives of the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) are participating in the Feria Internacional de Turismo (FITUR) in Madrid, Spain.

The fair is being held from January 18-22, 2023 at the IFEMA Convention Center.

The 5-day fair is one of the largest tourism fairs in the world, bringing together key decision-makers from a cross-section of travel professionals in the tourism industry.

“FITUR has positioned itself as the gateway to the Latin American market for the European Travel Trade,” the BTB noted.

In addition, the Central America Tourism Agency (CATA) and the Central America Tourism Council (CCT) transfered their pro-tempo presidency to Belize.

In his remarks, Minister Mahler committed to continue to push the actions aimed at meeting the goals of the regional tourism agenda established in the Strategic Plan for Sustainable Tourism Development in our region.
