Corozal shop owner robbed a gunpoint

By Benjamin Flowers: A Corozal businesswoman was robbed at gunpoint earlier today.

Police say that the 23-year-old shop owner was at her business, Jing Jing Store at the entrance of Paraiso Village when two men barged in and demanded money.

One man held her by the throat while pointing a gun at her, while the other man stole $500 from the cash register before they ran off.

Police have since detained two people for questioning in connection with the incident as investigations continue.
