Galen Eagle, Rissela Dominguez Patt appointed Labour Commissioner 

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour, and Local Government announced the appointment of Galen Eagle, Rissela Dominguez-Patt as the new Labour Commissioner, effective October 2022.

Dominguez-Patt is a career public officer who has been working in the Labour Department since 2007. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Galen University.

The Ministry says that Dominguez-Patt brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position, having worked extensively in the field of labor relations for more than 15 years.

In her capacity as Labour Commissioner, Dominguez-Patt will drive the Ministry’s transformative labor agenda and give dedicated focus to undertaking a comprehensive review of the Labour Act, advancing International Labour Standards in the Workplace, and strengthening Dispute Resolution to ensure justice and improve compliance.

“Minister of Labour, Oscar Requena welcomes Dominguez-Patt as the new Labour Commissioner and charges her with the mandate to address labor disputes, engage key labor partners and advance the priorities of the labor sector,” the Ministry said.
