By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Krisean Lopez’s Platense routed third division side Atlas 5-0 on Thursday afternoon at the Antonio Toledo Valle Stadium in Zacatecoluca in El Salvador.
Lopez, who missed Sunday’s friendly international match against Guatemala’s Achuapa due to a toe injury, today played 65 minutes in Platense’s 5th pre-season game.
“It was really good today,” Lopez told Breaking Belize News (BBN).
“I still have a little pain but it’s something I can play on.”
The Salvadoran Professional League was delayed a week, so Platense are playing a sixth friendly pre-season match on Sunday against Atlético Marte, another First Division side.
The CD Platense announcers said during Thursday’s game live stream that Platense’s first league match should be at home against champions Alianza, the same team Lopez already played against with Verdes in the Concacaf League in 2022. The Salvadoran Professional League is set to kick off on the weekend of January 28 and 29.
Mexican Omar Rosas scored a hat-trick in the 16’, 19’, and 41’. Andrés Hernández (40’) and Marvin Aranda (87’) scored the other goals.
