By Aaron Humes: The football world in Belize continues to mourn footballer Deon “Pussy” Flowers, 41, who died following a motorcycle accident last week.
Police say Flowers was found inside the Westrac Roundabout at Mile 2 1/2, Philip Goldson Highway, around 2:30 a.m. a week ago today. He had suffered head injuries and profuse bleeding after being thrown from his black Meilun motorcycle.
According to police, they were unable to get details as to the cause of the accident from Flowers, other than that he had collided with the iron railing and traffic sign at the roundabout. He was treated at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he passed on Thursday, January 19.
