By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, livestock farmers in Belize exported a total of 149 head of cattle weighing 89,580 pounds to Mexico.
This is the third export of beef cattle recorded for the month of January 2023.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise says they remain committed to more exports.
The export of 149 head of cattle to Mexico will generate a total of BZ $201,555.00 to the Belizean cattle industry subsector.
To date, the cumulative number of beef cattle exported is 715 animals.
