By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise (MAFSE) had words of praise for San Pablo Community School in Orange Walk for the sustainable gardens it is cultivating.
“The school practices sustainable gardening and has built agriculture into their school curriculum at all levels,”
MAFSE said in a social media post.
“They have done bokashi training and even have a fish pond, all to show students the value of agriculture in their lives, as a healthy alternative lifestyle and as an income earner.”
MAFSE, who have offered assistance to schools with setting up and maintaining their agriculture programs, said the San Pablo Community School is “extremely grateful to OW Agric Department for the support provided to their efforts”.
