Police visit elderly in Punta Gorda

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Toledo Police have been visiting the elderly, according to the Belize Police Department (BPD).

“On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, staff personnel attached to the Punta Gorda (Police) Station, David Ishim PC 1897 and Brittney Gamboa PC 1877, accompanied Mr. Jeffery Coleman from “Helping Older People Equally” (HOPE) in conducting elderly shut-ins,” said the BPD Public Relations Unit.

“During the visit, several elderly citizens were visited and issued a plate of warm food.”

The visits are part of the outreach program that the Belize Police Department continuously conduct to get closer to the communities in which they serve.
