By Rubén Morales Iglesias: United States Ambassador Michelle Kwan on Thursday visited the Toledo Community College in Punta Gorda.
The United States Embassy said Ambassador Kwan joined @EducationUSABelize in meeting with Toledo Community College students in Punta Gorda to talk about study-abroad opportunities in the United States.
“#EducationUSA is a U.S. State Department program that is the official source for comprehensive information on U.S. higher education,” said the U.S. Embassy.
“Our Education USA advisers, based in Leo Bradley Library in Belize City, travel across Belize to help students navigate the U.S. admissions process by providing information about the more than 4,500 accredited U.S. colleges and universities.”
Ambassador Kwan has been very busy since taking up her post in Belize recently and has already visited several places.
While she was in Punta Gorda on Thursday, Ambassador Kwan also presented an ambulance, on behalf of the United States Embassy, to the Punta Gorda Hospital.
