Armed robbery reported in San Ignacio

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Police in San Ignacio are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday morning in San Ignacio.

A delivery man told police that he was on his way to do a deposit for his company when a vehicle drove up in front of him near Cayo CET and 3 masked assailants exited.

The 3 masked culprits told him to give them all he has.

The assailants knocked him to his head and then he heard a gunshot.

They escaped with the company’s deposit bag which had money and cheques.

The delivery man has been taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
