By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: A Taiwanese man has been fined 3.04 million New Taiwan dollars (US $91,350) after his pet parrot injured a doctor, BBC reports.
The doctor reportedly dislocated his hip joint and fractured his pelvis after a fall caused by the bird.
The parrot landed on his back and startled him by repeatedly flapping its wings.
The bird’s owner had taken the parrot and another macaw for a fly around near where the doctor was jogging.
The doctor sued the owner, who the court found was responsible because he should have taken “protective measures”.
