By Rubén Morales Iglesias: As part of its outreach program to schools, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise (MAFSE) made a donation to assist the Belmopan Baptist High School in the country’s capital.

“The Ministry of Agriculture today donated a total of 50 yellow Malayan Dwarf coconuts, 25 Pitahaya cuttings, and 25 Maypan Hybrid Coconut seedlings to the Belmopan Baptist High School,” MAFSE said in a social media post.

“The materials donated are for the development of a fruit tree program. Delivering the materials was Extension Officer Mr. Franklin Padron.”

On Wednesday, MAFSE announced that along with Minister Jose Abelardo Mai, it was donating seven piglets to the Belize High School of Agriculture in the Orange Walk District to assist with the school’s livestock program which forms part of its agriculture-based education.
