Prime Minister John Briceño: “Plan Belize is a commitment to our people”

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On February 1, 2023, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) and the Government of Belize handed over the keys to 50 starter homes. The recipients are now a part of the Blackberry Ridge Estate Housing Site in Burrell Boom.

Prime Minister John Briceño says that this is one of the projects he is most proud of.

“One of our projects that I am most proud of is the low-income housing project for first-time homeowners. Today, we gathered to inaugurate the Blackberry Ridge Estate Housing Site in Burrell Boom. The project has built 50 homes, with the site equipped with proper road reserves, construction of streets, and other supporting services,” the Prime Minister said.

PM Briceño further congratulated Minister of MIDH, Julius Espat and Area Representative, Marconi Leal.

Present at the event were Deputy Prime Minister, Cordel Hyde, Minister of Education, Francis Fonseca, Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, Anthony Mahler, Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise, Jose Mai, Minister of Home Affairs, Kareem Musa, Minister of Human Development, Dolores Garcia, Minister of Public Service, Henry Charles Usher among others.

“#PlanBelize is a commitment to our people to improve lives and setting a strong foundation for our Belizean families,” the Prime Minister said.

PM Briceño says that his Government is working daily to make the lives of all Belizeans better.
