Former murder suspect charged with failure to report a traffic accident

By Aaron Humes: One of two former accused in the murder of Benjamin Hyde Senior last Father’s Day was back in court on Friday, accused of being involved in a traffic mishap.

19-year-old Azzane Domingo of Plues Street appeared in Magistrate’s Court on charges of failure to report a traffic incident and driving a motor vehicle while not being the holder of a valid Belize driver’s license.

On January 22 at West Collet Canal, officers found Domingo driving a grey Mazda Tribute in which he had apparently gotten into a mishap.

Domingo pleaded not guilty and met bail of $300. The case was adjourned until March 30.

Domingo and two other men saw charges dropped for Hyde’s murder just a few days before the incident for which he is now charged. That murder took place not far away at the corner of King Street and East Canal.
