Body discovered near tractor in Orange Walk; investigation underway

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a mishap involving an Orange Walk man in the vicinity of Fireburn village, Orange Walk District.

One Carlos Aguilar Juarez’s body was discovered on the right side of the street with bruises to the back of his head and his back in an area three miles west of Fireburn on Saturday afternoon. Nearby was a Massey Ferguson tractor that had run off the street into the bushes.

Police were informed that the body was discovered shortly beforehand by a traveler who called 911. It was identified by a resident of Shipyard, Orange Walk District.

Juarez was transported to the Northern Regional Hospital and his body awaits a post-mortem examination as police investigations continue.
