By Breaking Belize News Staff: The 21st anniversary of the Museum of Belize was celebrated with an art exhibit showcasing the works of renowned Belizean artist and musician, Pen Cayetano. The Minister of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology, Francis Fonseca, was in attendance to mark the occasion and catch up with the artist and his wife, Ingrid Cayetano.
Pen Cayetano is widely regarded as one of Belize’s finest artists and musicians. He is famously known as the “King of Punta Rock” and his Turtle Shell Band has attained legendary status in the country. The minister was honoured to receive a personal tour of the exhibit from the master himself.
The Museum of Belize, under the leadership of Ilona Smiling and her dedicated team, has played a crucial role in preserving the cultural heritage of the country. The anniversary of the museum is a celebration of its continued efforts to promote the arts and culture of Belize.
