Western Ballaz beat Punta Gorda Panthers 97-77 in Belize Elite Basketball League

The Western Ballaz proved too strong and beat the Punta Gorda Panthers by 20 points, 97-77 in Belize Elite Basketball League at the Sacred Heart College Auditorium in San Ignacio on Saturday evening.

Mark Gordon led the Western front with 32 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, three steals, and a block.

Richard Smith III added 16 points and eight boards while Elvis Usher Jr contributed 12 points, six rebounds, and made three steals. Macario Augustine pulled 12 rebounds and scored six points.

For the Panthers, Davis Tavian totalled 29 points and collected 12 off the glass. Gordon Matt tallied 12 points and four rebounds and Darnell Oden tabulated 19 points, six rebounds, and one assist. Delmore Sentino recorded 11 rebounds, while making three steals and one assist.

The Western Ballaz are now 2-0 while the Panthers have dropped to 0-2.
