By Aaron Humes: Resident of Armenia village, Cayo District Jose Gonzalez says he was held up at home this past weekend by two men wearing imitation Police (Number One) uniforms.
According to police, Gonzalez saw a vehicle in front of his house. He then entered his residence where he was held up by two persons who were dressed as police officers. They proceeded to tie him up and they ransacked the house and stole several items and an amount of cash. The persons then fled from the area.
Police have so far not identified any suspects but indicate that anyone found wearing the main Department uniform who is not a police officer will be charged for that in addition to burglary charges.
The burglars stole a TV, a cellphone, 10 bags of fertilizer, a shotgun, and a total of over $13,000.
