Ministry of Infrastructure Development revs up work on Northern sugar roads in Orange Walk, Corozal Districts

The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) continues working on upgrading the sugar road in Northern Belize in the Orange Walk and Corozal Districts.

“One of our teams is on the San Roman sugar road today, grading it so that our cane farmers can get to their fields and get their crop to the mill safely and with no holdup,” the MIDH said in a social media post on Friday about its work on the San Roman Rio Hondo work in the Orange Walk District.

“This is what we do on all sugar roads before and during every season.”

But work is not limited to Orange Walk. The MIDH is also busy in the Corozal District.

“The MIDH is presently doing some major work to upgrade the Progreso/Chunox Road,” the MIDH added.

“As we dump material, rip and compact in that area, we ask motorists to exercise care and patience.”
