Benque Viejo resident charged with gang affiliation and fined over $3,000

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Benque Viejo resident was fined in court yesterday after pleading guilty to gang affiliation.

Twenty-three-year-old Christian Raymundo, appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court, answering to a single count of “being a member of a gang” specifically the San Juan Bloods (SJB) Gang.

For his guilty plea, he was fined $3,500.00 plus $5.00 cost of court which he must pay by August 31, 2023, or he will face a year in prison for default.

Raymundo was unrepresented in court.
