Unleashing the power of The Jaguars: Football Federation of Belize reveals new Belize National Football Team logo by Rolando Ramirez

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) on Thursday unveiled the new Belize National Football Team ‘Jaguars’ logo.

“This logo was created by Rolando Ramirez and embodies the true representation of the Belize Jaguars, Belize’s National Football Teams,” the FFB said.

“The new design showcases the country’s national unity and spirit of Belizean football.”

The Belize National Football Teams are referred to as ‘The Jaguars’ hence the logo is that of a jaguar.

“We are excited to unveil this new logo for the Belize National Football Team,” said Sergio Chuc, President of the Football Federation of Belize.

“The colors and design of the emblem are a perfect representation of Belizean football and a source of pride for our country. We believe that this new logo will serve as a symbol of Belizean football and encourage our players and fans to strive for excellence, both on and off the field.

“The colors used in the design are a direct reflection of the flag of Belize, and we are confident that they will become a source of pride for Belizeans everywhere,” Chuc added.

The FFB said the jaguar in the logo is surrounded by an arched wreath with 11 leaves and has six stars at the bottom.

“The 11 leaves symbolize the 11 players on the field. The stars at the bottom of the logo depict the six districts of Belize, representing the inclusiveness of players from across the entire country as noted in the Map of Belize placed inside the letter ‘B’,” the FFB explained.

The Federation reiterated that it made sure the logo was done in red, white, and blue in the representation of the national colours as represented in the Belize National Flag.

The tongue in the Jaguars logo has special significance, said the FFB.

“The Jaguar’s tongue was strategically designed as a ‘W’,” the FFB said.

“This design represents the spirit and drive to ‘W’IN and the representation our ‘W’OMEN Jaguars. The FFB has been making great strides for the inclusiveness of Women in football in all areas of the sport.”

The Football Federation of Belize said it updated the logo since they had been using the previous logo since 2013 and added that it hopes “the striking new design will inspire players and fans, and help to foster a sense of pride and unity among supporters of Belizean football”.
