Belize Weather: Cooling things down

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts variably cloudy skies and cool temperatures today due to a cooler northerly airflow prevailing. There is a chance for light rain over southern coastal areas.

High temperatures across most of the country peak at 78 degrees Fahrenheit with the hills seeing 70 degrees. Tonight, temperatures along the coast fall to 68 degrees Fahrenheit, in inland areas 64 degrees and in the hills 60 degrees.

Winds are northerly to northwesterly at 10 to 20 knots and gusty; seas are moderate to rough and a small craft caution is in effect.

Tides will be low at 7:58 this morning and 9:27 this evening and high at 1:54 this afternoon. The sun sets at 5:53 this evening and rises at 6:20 Monday morning.

Cool and cloudy conditions continue on Monday with a few light showers, mainly over the south.
