Omar Figueroa endorsed as UDP Standard Bearer for Cayo North

By Benjamin Flowers: The United Democratic Party continues to solidify its political presence with the recent endorsement of Omar Figueroa as the standard bearer for Cayo North. Figueroa was officially endorsed and sworn in by party Chairman Michael Peyrefitte on Saturday.

Taking to social media, Figueroa expressed his gratitude and reminisced about his time serving as the Area Representative for Cayo North and Minister of State from 2015 to 2020. He acknowledged that while he learned a great deal from the experience, there were still areas where improvements could be made.

Despite the small size of the endorsement convention, Figueroa plans to hold a larger celebration with the entire constituency at a later date.

Figueroa stressed that he takes on the challenge of being a standard bearer once again, but with renewed hope and energy.
