International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission team and Prime Minister discuss financial developments

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Friday, February 10, 2023, Prime Minister John Briceño welcomed to Belize, the mission team of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

PM Briceño met with Phillip Jennings, Executive Director, Office of the Executive Director for Canada, Ireland and the Caribbean.

Jennings joins the IMF team of economists that is presently in Belize conducting an Article IV consultation assessing economic and financial developments.

During the visit, the team will also discuss economic and financial policies with the Government and Central Bank officials.
